Crazy In Lavender
For a beautiful twist on a traditional lemonade, use dried lavender in your simple syrup mix. Not only will this add a subtle freshness, but it can also slightly change the color of the finished product.
Lemons On Top
To maintain lemon flavor while minimizing tartness, try prepping your lemonade hot. First boil water, then add lemon juice into the mixture with the peels and fruit. Next, add sweetener and additional flavor while stirring until the sugar is melted, then strain and store in the fridge overnight. This is a good way to prepare lemonade ahead of time, and can be tailored to different flavors!
Single Flavors (Don’t Put A Ring On It)
Lemonade pairs well with a variety of fruit and vegetable purées, along with herbs and flowers, so don’t be afraid to experiment with multiple flavors! Carrot lemonade, strawberry basil lemonade, and coconut rosewater lemonade are some of our favorite adventurous combinations!
Independent Membranes, Pt. 1
Maximizing the juice from your lemons is key to minimizing your back end. To ensure that you get the most the juice out of every lemon, roll each one on the countertop while applying slight pressure. This breaks up the membranes within the fruit, opening it up for juicing.
