  • Bright green stems are solid signifiers of freshness, but that doesn’t necessarily mean stem-less cherries are bad. Always select shiny, plump cherries for your meals.
    • Did you know that cherry stems are purposely left intact when picked? This limits airflow into the fruit, minimizing rot.
  • When storing cherries, the temperature is key. Cherries lose quality quickly at room temperature, so stash them in the fridge immediately upon receiving. Keep ‘em dry too, as excess moisture decreases shelf-life.
