- 2 sliced onions
- 3 tbsp Calvados Brandy or Apple Jack
- 1 baguette cut on bias, brushed with olive oil and lightly toasted
- 2 Opal apples sliced thin, skin on
- 1/4 lb smoked Gouda cheese, grated
- Cook onions in oil over medium heat until caramelized, 3-5 minutes.
- Add in Calvados and cook until evaporated.
- Spread on baguette slices, top with apple slices and sprinkle with grated cheese. Broil until cheese melts.
